Samkhya (Sāṅkhyadarśanam) is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian philosophy and is traditionally attributed to Kapila.
It presents a rational analysis of reality by distinguishing between Puruṣa (pure consciousness) and Prakṛti (primordial nature).
The philosophy explains the evolution of the universe through twenty-four principles (tattvas) arising from Prakṛti.
