Translation
O mortal, you owe your rise to eminence to that resplendent God, who, with the rays of the dawn, awakens life in the lifeless and gives form to the formless. (1)

This and the following 20 verses are in the praise of the instruments of war. युद्धोपकरणानि स्तूयन्ते । Maryaḥ, :, O men. Mahīdhara renders it as maryāya, for men; to men. Keturin aketave, peso apeśase, केतुं प्रज्ञानं, पेशो रूपम्, bestowing knowledge on ignorant and shape on shapeless (form on formless). Sam uşadbhiḥ, उषाभि: सह, with the dawns. Also, with the aspiring ones. Also, with those who perform agnihotra etc. by kindling sacrificial fire (Mahidhara).
