गा॒य॒त्री त्रि॒ष्टुब्जग॑त्यनु॒ष्टुप्प॒ङ्क्त्या स॒ह।बृ॒ह॒त्युष्णिहा॑ क॒कुप्सू॒चीभिः॑ शम्यन्तु त्वा॥३३॥

गा॒य॒त्री। त्रि॒ष्टुप्। त्रि॒स्तुबिति॑ त्रि॒ऽस्तुप्। जग॑ती। अ॒नु॒ष्टुप्। अ॒नु॒स्तुबित्य॑नु॒ऽस्तुप्। प॒ङ्क्त्या। स॒ह। बृ॒ह॒ती। उ॒ष्णिहा॑। क॒कुप्। सू॒चीभिः॑। श॒म्य॒न्तु॒। त्वा॒ ॥३३ ॥

Translation
О learned ones, may the gaytri, the tristubh, the jagati, the anustup, along with the pankti, the brhati, the usnik and the kakup metres bring peace to you with their sweet recitations. (1)
Note
The commentators have taken it for granted that the following verses are related to the immolation of the horse and have been interpreted accordingly. Dayananda has refused to agree with them and has interpreted the verses differently. We disagree with the commentators. Suchibhiḥ, सूक्तिभि:, with good recitations. Also, with needles. Sainyantu, may bring peace to you; pacify you. Also, pierce you.
