अ॒ग्नये॑ कव्य॒वाह॑नाय॒ स्वाहा॒ सोमा॑य पितृ॒मते॒ स्वाहा॑। अप॑हता॒ऽअसु॑रा॒ रक्षा॑सि वेदि॒षदः॑॥२९॥

अ॒ग्नये॑। क॒व्य॒वाह॑ना॒येति॑ कव्य॒ऽवाह॑नाय। स्वाहा॑। सोमा॑य। पि॒तृ॒मत॒ इति॑ पितृ॒ऽमते॑। स्वाहा॑। अप॑हता॒ इत्यप॑ऽहताः। असु॑राः। रक्षा॑सि। वे॒दि॒षदः॑। वे॒दि॒सद॑ इति॑ वेदि॒ऽषदः॑ ॥२९॥

अग्नये। कव्यवाहनायेति कव्यऽवाहनाय। स्वाहा। सोमाय। पितृमत इति पितृऽमते। स्वाहा। अपहता इत्यपऽहताः। असुराः। रक्षासि। वेदिषदः। वेदिसद इति वेदिऽषदः॥२९॥

Translation
Let this be dedicated to the adorable Lord, who distributes gifts to the enlightened ones(1) Let this be dedicated to the blissful Lord, who is the support of the elders. (2) The evil powers and the devilish tendencies, who had captured the altar, have now been ousted. (3)

According to the ritualists, the following six mantras are used for the Pindapitr yajna, the monthly ancestral sacrifice as part of the Full moon and New moon sacrifices. Kavyavahanaya, कवयः कान्तदर्शनाः पितरः,तेषां सम्बंधि कव्यम्; farsighted elders or forefathers are kavis; a thing related to them is kavya; one who carries kavya is kavyavahana. Pitrmate, for him, who supports the elders. Vedisadah, who had occupied the altar by force.
