दी॒क्षायै॑ रू॒पम्। शष्पा॑णि। प्रा॒य॒णीय॑स्य। प्रा॒य॒नीय॒स्येति॑ प्रऽअय॒नीय॑स्य। तोक्मा॑नि। क्र॒यस्य॑। रू॒पम्। सोम॑स्य। ला॒जाः। सो॒मा॒शव॒ इति॑ सोमऽअ॒ꣳशवः॑। मधु॑ ॥१३ ॥

Translation
Fresh grass shoots are symbols of consecration; germinated corns are symbols of good behaviour; baked paddy are symbols of acquisition of mental happiness; honey is symbol of spiritual bliss. (1)

Ingredients for preparing liquor are mentioned in this and the following three verses and are symbolized for praisewor thy things, such as grass-shoots are the symbols of Diksā, conse cration and so on. Saspa, fresh grass shoots. Also, germinated wheat, Tokma, germinated com. Also, germinated barley. Lājāh, parched grain (paddy, corn etc. ). Somasya krayasya, acquisition of mental happiness. Or, purchase of Soma plants. Madhu somāṁśavah, honey is the symbol of soma (spiri tual bliss) drops.
