चक्षु॑षः पि॒ता मन॑सा॒ हि धीरो॑ घृ॒तमे॑नेऽअजन॒न्नम्न॑माने। य॒देदन्ता॒ऽअद॑दृहन्त॒ पूर्व॒ऽआदिद् द्यावा॑पृथि॒वीऽअ॑प्रथेताम्॥२५॥

चक्षु॑षः। पि॒ता। मन॑सा। हि। धीरः॑। घृ॒तम्। ए॒न॒ऽइत्ये॑ने। अ॒ज॒न॒त्। नम्न॑माने॒ऽइति॒ नम्न॑माने। य॒दा। इत्। अन्ताः॑। अद॑दृहन्त। पूर्वें॑। आत्। इत्। द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी। अ॒प्र॒थे॒ता॒म् ॥२५ ॥

Translation
The protector of vision and stabilizer of mind created these two (heaven and earth), submerged in water. Then first He fastened their ends firmly and later on heaven and earth were extended. (1)

Cakṣuşah pitā, protector of vision. चक्षुरदींद्रियाणां पालक: विश्वकर्मा, Viśvakarmā, protector of sense-organs, such as eyes etc. Manasă dhiraḥ, calm in mind; or stabilizer of mind. Ene, g, these two, (heaven and earth). water. Ghṛtam namnamāne, घृते उदके नममाने, submerged in Ajanat,रचितवान् , created. Antā, अंतान्, the ends. Adadṛhanta, made fast; fastened firmly. Purve, ancient. ,पूर्वं, प्रथमं first; first of all. Aprathetām,पृथू अभूताम् , were extended. The commenta tors have interpreted it as following: When the ancient seers, Vasiştha etc. fastened the ends of the earth and heaven, then Viśvakarmā created water for these two worlds.
