English
YajurVeda (Swami Satyaprakash Saraswati) - English
Translation
May both of you unite with each other; be of one thinking; be dear to each other and pleasing to each other and friendly, residing together with abundance of food and vigour. (1)
Note
According to the ritualists, two fires, citya agni and ukhya agni, are addressed to here. But Dayananda thinks that the verse is addressed to married couples, which seems to be more appropriate. Samitam, from यिण् गतौ, to move; सं + इतं= संगच्छतम्, move about together, or unite with euch other. Sain kalpethim, एक संकल्पौ भवतम्, both of you be of one resolve, of one thinking. Samvasanau, both of you residing together.
